Abi Millwood is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in emergency and acute care settings. She began her healthcare career as a paramedic after completing the Paramedic Program at Central Georgia Technical College. Abi went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Community Health from Georgia College & State University, followed by an Associate of Science in Nursing from Darton College through the Paramedic-to-RN bridge program. She later obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Georgia College & State University, a Master of Science in Nursing Leadership from Western Governors University, and a Post-Master’s Family Nurse Practitioner certificate from South College, where she graduated with high honors.
Abi holds multiple certifications including FNP-BC, FNP-C, Paramedic, and Certified Emergency Nurse. Her professional experience spans over a decade, including service at The Medical Center as a paramedic, Piedmont Macon, and most recently, Atrium Baldwin Emergency Room.
Her clinical interests include pediatrics, cardiology, and emergency medicine, reflecting her passion for providing comprehensive and compassionate care to pediatric patients. Abi is also active in her community through Northridge Christian Church in Milledgeville and she has also been recognized with the prestigious DAISY Award for excellence in nursing.
Born and raised in the Eatonton/Milledgeville area, Abi is proud to serve the same community that shaped her. She is a John Milledge Academy alumni and has been married to her husband, Matt, since 2017. They have two sons, Cooper and MJ, and three dogs. In her free time, Abi enjoys cheering on the UGA Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves, listening to true crime podcasts, and watching her sons compete in sports.
