What is a Federally Qualified Health Center?
Federally Qualified Health Centers play a critical role in the nation’s healthcare system by serving communities that face barriers to care. As an FQHC, Oconee Valley Healthcare:
-Provides comprehensive primary and preventive care for patients of all ages
-Serves all individuals, including uninsured and underinsured patients
-Offers affordable care options, including a sliding fee scale for those who qualify
-Accepts Medicaid, Medicare, and a wide range of insurance plans, and self-pay patients
-Focuses on whole-person care, addressing medical, dental, behavioral, and support needs

Our History
Oconee Valley Healthcare was founded in 2001 in Greensboro, Georgia, originally operating as TenderCare Clinic to meet the growing healthcare needs of rural and underserved residents.
What began as a single clinic has grown into a multi-location healthcare organization serving communities across Greene, Putnam, Baldwin, and surrounding counties. As our region grew and needs evolved, OVH expanded its services and locations to ensure patients could access care closer to home.
Today, Oconee Valley Healthcare continues to build on that foundation—expanding services, strengthening partnerships, and investing in care that reflects the needs of the communities we serve.
