Dr. Greg Milroy is a board-certified pediatrician with decades of experience caring for children and supporting families through every stage of childhood. Originally from Columbia, South Carolina, Dr. Milroy earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the College of Charleston before completing medical school at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He went on to complete his residency at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington, where he also served as Chief Resident. Dr. Milroy is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and holds medical licenses in both Georgia and North Carolina.
Dr. Milroy has dedicated his entire career to pediatric care, most recently serving 25 years with CaroMont Pediatric Partners in Gastonia, North Carolina. Earlier in his career, he practiced at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital in Clarksville, Tennessee. Throughout his career he has also provided care through locums tenens work with practices including KidzCare, Mt. Airy Pediatrics, and IFC Pediatrics. His professional interests include newborn care, asthma and allergy management, ADHD, and helping parents feel confident and informed in caring for their children. Dr. Milroy also enjoys mentoring future healthcare professionals and has served as a clinical preceptor for medical students.
Beyond the office, Dr. Milroy has remained deeply involved in community service and outreach. He has served as Medical Director for the Crisis Pregnancy Center in Gastonia since 1998 and has participated in medical mission trips to Haiti and Senegal. He has also served as Medical Director for Camp Cedar Cliff at the Billy Graham Training Center in Asheville, North Carolina and regularly participates in community health fairs.
Dr. Milroy’s leadership and dedication to patient care have earned him numerous recognitions, including being voted “Best of Gastonia” in Pediatrics in 2016 and 2022. He has also received Excellence Recognition awards for both pediatric care and clinical teaching and has served as Chief of Pediatrics at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.
Outside of work, Dr. Milroy enjoys spending time with his family and pursuing a variety of hobbies. He and his wife Lisa have been married since 1987 after meeting in high school and are proud parents and grandparents. Dr. Milroy is an avid music enthusiast who enjoys playing guitar and participating in his church worship team. He also enjoys baseball and other sports, outdoor activities like hiking and fishing, experimenting in the kitchen as an amateur chef, and is a movie buff.
Dr. Milroy is passionate about building trusted relationships with families and helping children grow healthy and strong.
