National Health Center Week

TenderCare Clinic will be celebrating National Health Center Week from August 4th-10th. This week is an annual celebration dedicated to showcasing the highly effective and innovative health center model of care. America’s health centers have served over 28 million people in more than 11,000 communities. They are the solution to many of the problems that exist in our health care system. TenderCare is proud to be a Federally Qualified Health Center and has several events going on during the week to celebrate us being “Rooted in Community”!

Monday, August 5th: Healthcare for the Homeless Day

We will be donating the toiletries that we collected in July to Circle of Love and making patient care kits with travel size toiletries.

Tuesday, August 6th: Agricultural Worker Health Day

TenderCare is hosting a gardening and nutrition class for the community at TenderCare Clinic of Greensboro at 6:00pm. Greene County Extension is coming to help us learn how to grow our own food. A nutrition demonstration will take place during the class.

Wednesday, August 7th: Patient Appreciation Day

Our Little Free Pantry Ribbon Cutting will be at 10:00am at TenderCare Clinic of Greensboro. Our big project for National Health Center Week is starting a Little Free Pantry in Greene County! The Little Free Pantry program is sort of like a swap-shop for nonperishable food and necessities. A small structure is put in an accessible, safe area for people to “give what they can and take what they need.” Join us for our ribbon cutting!

Thursday, August 8th: Stakeholder Appreciation Day

We will be hosting elected officials and partners in the morning for a brunch reception to give updates on TenderCare and tours of the office. In the evening, a presentation by Dr. Quinn of Oconee Cancer Care is open to all community members. It will take place at the TenderCare Wellness Center at 6:00pm.

Friday, August 9th: Staff Appreciation Day

We are appreciating our staff!!
