Dr. Christopher Bassett, MD, is a graduate of the University of Florida College of Medicine. He was an honors graduate for Special Achievement in Pediatrics. He completed his residency at T.C. Thompson Children’s Hospital with the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Dr. Bassett has been board certified in General Pediatrics since 2001. Before merging his practice with Oconee Valley Healthcare, Dr. Bassett and his wife, Julie Bassett MD., opened and operated Lake Oconee Pediatrics in 2006. His main interests in pediatrics are dermatology, trauma, atopic diseases, and newborn care. Dr. Bassett serves as an Adjunct Clinical Professor of Pediatrics for Brenau University’s physician assistant program.

Dr. Bassett and his wife Julie Bassett MD have been married since 2002 and have five daughters together. In his spare time Dr. Bassett enjoys hunting, kayaking, hiking, and is also the lead singer for local Lake Oconee rock band, GridRocked.
